Ref : Health Insurance

As a fit & heathy 55yr old, i will potentially be coming to thailand on a Non-0 or LTR Retirment Visa, my initial research suggests a good comprehensive health insurance policy can be as much as THB 10-20k pm. Is this correct?

Also can anyone recommend any good policies and/or broker, i'm looking for a comprehensive policy with no nasty exclusions, would prefer higher limits and the best coverage

i have not ruled out Thai Insurers, but would prefer the most extensive types of policy

thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat considering a Non-O or LTR Retirement Visa in Thailand is asking about the costs for comprehensive health insurance, estimating THB 10-20k per month. Community members discuss various options, with recommendations for contacting insurance brokers such as AA Insurance and Robert Jackson. Some suggest considering self-insurance options and catastrophic coverage instead of full insurance, particularly for healthy individuals. Comments also note that premiums may increase over time.

No matter who you choose, they will likely raise your rates every year even with no claims and will likely raise your rates very fast after you have claims. At some point, you might not be able to afford the insurance payments.

I would recommend a catastrophic policy for emergency only. And self-insure for the commonplace

even with insurance you get cut off when you use your insured amount. Then hospitals kick you out. There's a higher chance you die on a zebra crossing than by cancer. So contact @ tabby fin Source: Facebook

cancer treatment is so affordable here even without insurance unless you go to international hospital. I was treated for brain cancer in khon kaen government hospital. Bill less than

Contact AA Insurance, a good policy for a fit healthy 55 year old should come in at around 60-70k baht per year.
