I am starting my journey of informing myself about visa options as I might be interested to stay for a longer term.

Aside from it often beeing a requirement,

what should I expect to pay for a decent health insurance for thailand (or global) ?

together with spouse if there is rebates.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation emphasizes that health insurance costs in Thailand can vary widely based on several personal factors such as age, health status, and smoking habits. It suggests consulting a broker like Robert Jackson for tailored advice and recommends checking platforms like Mr Prakan for quotes. Additionally, it is noted that health insurance is not necessarily a requirement for long-term stays.

As

says it's too subjective. There's no one company which would suit everyone. Suggest you seek out Robert Jackson who's a broker for all the main companies and discuss your situation and requirements with him
