Any East Africans who have recent experience being approved/denied e-visas through the Nairobi embassy? I have a friend who applied for a tourist visa and was rejected despite meeting all requirements. We have tried re-submitting but trip is in one week. Any insights?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking insights from East Africans regarding recent experiences with e-visa applications at the Thai embassy in Nairobi. They mention a friend's recent tourist visa rejection despite fulfilling all requirements and express urgency due to an approaching trip. Comments include warnings against booking flights without a visa, offers to discuss further in private, and a critical remark about Thailand's perceived preference for certain tourist demographics.

Thailand doesn't want tourists other than Chinese and Indian tour groups. Just take your money and go elsewhere. Malaysia is a good option.

Don’t book flights before you have a visa
