TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers arriving late at night in Bangkok have several reliable taxi options to get to Pattaya. While taxis are available at all hours, it's advisable to pre-book if arriving after midnight. Recommended services include airport taxi stands, Grab and Bolt apps, and private drivers from Facebook groups or websites. Prices generally range from 1000 to 2000 baht, depending on the service and time of day. For a hassle-free experience, many recommend pre-booking through trusted services or using established taxi companies.

Nam's ladies taxi 1200 thb. Extremely safe & reliable

Always early. Google them and you can book online.
Yiba *******
Bolt - 1000 to 1500 baht fare. Bargain for 1250 or just accept the fare on the app

Normal taxi - probably the same or a bit more than that

No need to book for anything. Go with the flow. Book it on the app or directly when u r at the airport. Have a good holiday my homo sapiens friend

Just go online and book a taxi, I used Pattaya transfer service (if you’re going to Pattaya) and it was easy and no hassle and a good car for 1299 baht , but try and book one from the city you are going to, they will turn up and they know where they are going

Not your typical taxi run. Long distance. Pre book

Use the airport taxi if unsure. Might cost a little more than a private booking, but it's much, much easier.
John *******
Bolt app

Drivers work on Flight arrival times, not Time of day .

Make sure meter is on, or set rate up front.
Mike ********
Some say go to the arrivals level and go outside and ask taxi drivers who are dropping people off if they are going back to pattaya and ask for a price, but your still going to pay 1000 bht up,
John ********
Tuk tuk

Should just stay a night in Bangkok and then next day get to Pattaya by bus.

Use Klook.com for transport.
Nick *******
Just go outside the terminal, will be a booking desk there to direct you to the waiting taxis. About 1200b

U-Tapao is a similar distance from Pattaya.

Perhaps 10 to 20 minutes closer..

it was $500 isd more expensive for me to fly into Pattaya... prob the same for everyone else too.
Richard ********
Don't use a Tuk Tuk,there so expensive besides their for tourists who like loud music.Use Bolt etc.

Tuk tuk too expensive.

Regular taxi (pink car, green car with yellow, red car with yellow) while they wait at airport they offer substantial higher rates. Hoping the tourist doesn't know about the following apps

Grab app is good for taxi cars. A bit more $$. Can connect to you bank.

Bolt is a cheaper option to get but doesn't have as many cars as grab. Can connect to your bank

Indrive is a cheaper option aswell they only take thai cash as payment

Grab, bolt, or Indrive may show up in a taxi car described above but you will pay the app price and not full taxi price. Most taxi drivers operate 2 or more apps to get business.

Grab app you can also buy food delivery with aswell as food panda and lineman app.

Use Google hotels to search for hotels and area. It will show you dates and prices... Click on those through Google and it's cheaper than booking through agoda, booking, and vio.com) but also use vio agoda and booking for best prices to stay..

Clicktogothailand.com for tour trips from most destinations in Thailand best price options..

12go.asia is a good website for booking buses and vans to go from destination to destination.

Lazada app is similar to Amazon. You can order anything here and have delivered to you place of stay.

very on point.

Take a bolt. Get the bolt app, grab app, and 12Go app. 12Go is great for a bus wherever you want to go, late at night though, you can walk out of the airport and people will happily greet you with a taxi option
Ian ***********
There are some vip taxi stands right outside of the baggage claim at Suvarnab Airport in Bangkok. I'm guessing it is around 1500-2000baht.

Much better than getting scammed by the "taxi drivers" outside....especially if it's late.

You can also call a Grab or Bolt, but that's a dice roll if anyone will drive you that far at 2am 🤣
Jared *********
Many options like taxi, Grab, Bolt etc but I prefer Mike's Taxi Service. Book on their website. Costs 1000 to 1200 baht. Professional and reliable with good cars
Don ***********
@Jared ********
I would second your recommendation, I live here but have used his taxi service BKK to Pattaya and Buriram 4 times this year with family visiting. Easy reliable and the best price I have found anywhere.
Tom *******
I would use a private driver for that trip .. is it from Suvarnabhumi? It is a couple hours + drive from there. I have a driver I have used for more than 2 years .. send me a dm if you want to meet him.

if he doesn’t know how to get a taxi to Pattaya I really don’t think he is an expat
Karim ***************
@David ********
you don’t have to be an expat to join that page. It gives valuable information for anyone intending to visit Pattaya. Such as, convenient travel to and from the airport.
Steve **********
@Karim **************
why put a guy in the middle.

Call Grab, or take taxi.

Anyone in middle is commissioned
Karim ***************
@Steve *********
I think you miss understood because I wasn’t clear enough. My fault. The Pattaya expat Fb group has many private taxis who advertise the trip (cutting out the middle man). They charge 1000-1500, depending on size of car. I think you will find the best and cheapest offers on there. Most people who live in Pattaya use this option because it’s the cheapest. I usually pay 1200. Taxis from the airport will cost 2000. Grab is usually 1500-2000, depending on time of day and availability.

Just google airport taxi. There are enough people who offer Pattaya. Price approx. 1500 Bath

Depends on how late. Anytime before midnight, you can probably get one from the queue. After, I would definitely pre book.
Brandon ************
You can really use anything.

You can just get a taxi from the taxi stand.

You can book Bolt app or Grab app.

You can pre-book through countless services you'll find on Facebook and the internet.

You can pre-book with AOT (Airports of Thailand) though their cars are a bit pricey but 100% reliable.

Thailand and especially Bangkok doesn't sleep. Everything except buses will be available at this time.

Booking.com rebook your taxi they will hold a sign for u and no waiting
