Can Colombian passport holders apply for another SETV after a Non-O visa, and is Phnom Penh a safe option for visa renewal?

Hello all,

Got a couple of friends who are not so visa savvy, so asking for them.

Colombian passports, back to back SETV from Vietnam, and Non-O from Vientiane.

Want to get another SETV. They were thinking of Phnom Pehn, but feeling nervous about its reputation. No problem with proofs. Flights home early November out of Vietnam.

I just noticed the sticker on their Non-O.

Can they get another SETV or are they blocked? And second, should they go to PP, or pick another crossing?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of their friends, who hold Colombian passports and have previously obtained multiple visas (SETV and Non-O), applying for another SETV. They are considering going to Phnom Penh for the visa application but are uncertain due to concerns about the city's reputation. The comments indicate that while Savannakhet requires proof of funds and onward travel, Vientiane does not have this requirement. Additionally, there are comments clarifying that the sticker on their Non-O visa pertains to their work permit, and it is suggested they should still be able to obtain a Tourist Visa.

Savannakhet will want proof of 20K baht in a bank account and proof of onward travel Vientiane will not

Thanks Tod.

So Vientiane seems pretty easy. How about PP in this situation? I know there is no way of knowing, but I value your guess.

Sticker is about the work permit, not really understand that in combination of the Non Immigrant O visa. They should be okay for a Tourist Visa.

@Robert ******
I wondered for the longest time why they put a sticker about work permits in the passports for the Non-O visas until some thai pointed out to me the thai script sticker with the foundation name on it ;)

thanks, sorry I still cann't read Thai.

@Robert ******
, the reason the sticker is about a work permit is because they got the Non-O based on volunteering at a foundation. :O

Look at the thai writing above the visa

It says มูลนิธินวมนุษยธรรม

Neo-Humanist Foundation

I don't have an opinion about which consulate or embassy to visit. Look at their website, meet the requirements and apply.

Ok, thanks. Any opinion on PP vs. Vientiane or Savannaket?

They were concerned that Vientiane would have a problem as it was the location of their most recent visa.
