Hi everyone, So I 'm due for a visa run from Krabi after mid-November.

Hoping not to fly... So...

Is Malaysia is the best option for time & cost?

What do most people from Krabi do?

Anyone tried Burma?

Once exciting Thailand, can I come straight back?

Or do I need to stay there for a minimal amount of days?

Do I even need to stamp into the other country before returning to Thailand?

I currently have a free 60 transit stay. My previous Thai entry/exit was in Jan-Feb 2025... & between this in 2025, I was in several other countries & my home country when I returned to Thailand in Sept 2025.

Thanks for any tips ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the best and most cost-effective options for a visa run from Krabi, considering traveling to Malaysia or Myanmar by land and the required procedures for returning to Thailand. Comments suggest that Malaysia is a convenient option, with several travel services available near the bus station in Hat Yai, and advise on potential extensions available at local immigration offices. There are also considerations regarding same-day return to Thailand and the associated fees at certain borders.

KL direct is a great flight. Cheap

You can get a 30day extension at Krabi Immigration.

Most borders won't let you come back same day. The border at Satun charge 2,000 baht to come back same day.

There's a border run from Koh Lanta to Satun, for about 4,000 baht, including the 2,000 fee. Check out koh lanta Facebook groups

You'd get a 30 day extension in your local immigration office. Ranong - Myannmar by boat is the closest border point, if you just want to bounce in and out, not a Visa run, for another 60 days. It was open last time I checked but that may have changed.

Well Malaysia closer, why no plane sometimes can be very cheap if plan correctly.

Cheap from krabi get bus to Hat Yai and go see one of many agents/travel services near bus station
