Land Visa Run to Malaysia

Hello Hello

Does anyone have recent information on Land Visa Run to Malaysia Padang Besar or Dannok

Is overnight in Malaysia required or not?

Is there a difference in visa cost for 30 days or the new 60 days Visa exempt? or fees expected?

Is DIY (Do it yourself taxi) acceptable for same day return ??

Im travelling from Krabi..

I am Canadian with no land crossing this year... 3 by air

Thanks & Enjoy ur day ๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking recent information on conducting a land visa run to Malaysia from Krabi, specifically regarding overnight stay requirements, differences in visa costs for 30-day vs. 60-day entries, and the feasibility of a same-day return by taxi. A commenter advises consulting a border run service due to the user's existing visa history and emphasizes the importance of being prepared for Thai immigration questioning, especially with a recent record of multiple entries.

Strongly suggest you ask your question about your wanting to do a BORDER BOUNCE and obtain a new 60 days STAMP as Visa Exempt Entry with an experienced border run service company in your area.

You already have 3 entries into Thailand by air this calendar year. And possible have obtained 30 days extensions 3 times. Which looks like you are living in Thailand with visa exempt entry and extensions.

Be prepared for questions from Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand... especially by Air โœˆ๏ธ.

BUT you can also be questioned by Thai Immigration Officers at Thai border crossing entries into Thailand.

Be prepared for DENIED entry.

... Have proof of your flight departing Thailand within the 60 days you are stamped in on arrival.

...Plus have the equivalent of 20,000 Thai baht in CASH AND

...the address of where you will be staying in Thailand.

To show Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival.

Again... with your recent history of staying in Thailand, use an experienced border run service company to take you to the border, bounce and reenter.

They know what you need to do. Will not take you to do a BORDER BOUNCE unless they know you will be successful.

And tell them your passport nation is Canada and recent history of staying in Thailand.

Good Luck ๐Ÿ€

there's no 2 price option. As visa exempt entry you are stamped in for 60 days.

When was your visa run? Did u return same day?

I don't do Visa runs or border bounces anymore. Ask your local area experienced border run service company.

They have the answers.

And again, I caution you about trying to do it yourself.

May I ask, what is a border run service? I hope to come to Thailand soon to retire there, but although I do have the monthly income they require I do not have the funds in the bank for residence. So I had hoped I could do the in and out (border run?) to stay there. But reading your response I'm seeing that may not be feasible. Could you please advise? Thank you so much.

a border run agency is a company that you pay that drives you to the border and pays the immigration officers to ensure you get out of and back into Thailand quickly.

But based on your post, your plan is to try and live in Thailand without a long term visa. That is not a viable plan at all and eventually you WILL run into trouble and be questioned and possibly denied entry for abusing tourist entries.

I appreciate your clarity -- it's been hard to get at for me, at least. Thank you!

And may I also suggest you look at the availability of a Thai Visa for your planned stay in Thailand. You have not said why you have been living or visiting Thailand so often. So we can't offer you a possible Thai Visa solution.
