Hi all. I need to do a visa run tomorrow. Where is the best border to do it right now? how is Poiphet? Nong Khai? or other preferred.
I plan to travel for a few days to a nearby country, no rush to come back at the same day. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires about the best borders for a visa run, specifically mentioning Poipet and Nong Khai. Responses indicate that Poipet is considered problematic with many negative reports, while Nong Khai is viewed more favorably. Additionally, there are mentions of travel options like flights to Phnom Penh.
Poipet is one of the worst and Nong Khai one of the best.

Are you looking to do a visa run or border bounce? A visa run means you're going to the embassy and purchasing a visa, whereas a border bounce means you're just going to cross the border and return to get a new stamp?
Always do everything you can to avoid the Poipet border. Nothing but nightmare reports from there.

Thanks for the clarification. I plan to do a border bounce. will I receive 45 days entry to Thailand if I enter by land?
This infographic from our friends at Thai Visa Advice explains the difference in the processes as outlined by Brandon. I totally agree with him stay well clear of Poiphet. The Laos borders are more user-friendly than those with Cambodia.
