TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for cancelling a NON O (dependent) visa in Thailand include submitting a request to cancel the extension, along with the relevant documents. It's noted that a termination letter from the company may be needed if it relates to the dependent's visa under the principal's work visa. Discussions also mention experiences at different immigration offices, with varying requirements based on individual circumstances.

Yeah, even my HR was shocked when the Immigration officer she had contact with told her the requirements.

Anyways, thanks for the help and information.

So apparently same documents are needed for cancellation of Non O. However the termination letter must state that, the company wants to terminate the Non O of my wife under my Non B.

ahhh, okay, I see. Strange I didn't believe there was that much paperwork involved in canceling an extension based on being piggy-backed like that.

Good Luck (y)

you might want the company to write the letter stating they want it canceled on the date your wife is flying out of the country to get the new visa.

She can go to the immigration office a weeks or so before that date to get the current extension canceled and the new stamp will let her stay until she needs to leave

, report back if you can and let is know what was required to cancel the extension for your wife.

You take a piece of paper stating you want to cancel the yearly extension and for what reason you want to cancel it to the immigration office and they cancel the extension on that day.

IF you don't want to leave the country that day once it's canceled you buy a 7 day extension denied stamp for 1900baht and leave within that week.

Thanks a lot. That is what I am trying to do now.

I'd have your HR call them (they're good about taking calls there) and explain that you are not quitting your job your wife is getting a new job and needs to get off the non-O extension she's on based on your Non-B

@Jun ********
right those are the documents YOU provide to cancel your Non-B extension when you leave a company.

That's NOT what your wife would need to show to cancel her extension based on being married to someone who legally works here.

What immigration office is this? The one here in Bangkok out at Chaengwattana?
