My DTV was approved and I'm going to apply for my husband and children under mine. My husband is currently working in the US but will not be working when we go to Thailand. When filling out the application, do I put his current employment or that he is unemployed?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around whether to state the husband's current employment or unemployment when applying for a dependent visa in Thailand. Responses suggest that since he is applying as a dependent, it may not matter if he is currently employed. It's recommended to indicate unemployment and include a sponsorship letter indicating financial support for the husband during their stay in Thailand. However, some commenters caution against withholding truthful information on applications.

Funny, the partner is employed and you ask to write down unemployed.

And than sign the application that you did thell the truth, even more funny is that others encourage you to withold the truth and wirte down what ever they think is not relevant.

I’m Thai and I used to run a visa agency. I recommend checking whether the sponsor’s income is sufficient. If your salary and savings are high enough, there should be no problem for your dependents.

If you apply for him as a dependant it wont matter - use a sponsor letter saying you are responsible for his financial needs while in thailand accompany your marriage certificate and proof of your funds and DTV approval with his application for the Dependant DTV he doesnt need to meet financial requirements that way

are you saying to have the same amount in your account with a sponsor letter or twice the amount to meet financial requirements?

They don't need to know that he's currently employed if he's a dependent. I would just put unemployed.
