Which bank/s in Thailand would you recommend? I’m also open to using overseas banks like UOB and also privilege banking.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When considering banks in Thailand, many expats recommend options like Kasikorn Bank, SCB, and UOB, noting their reliability and user-friendly services. Bangkok Bank has faced scrutiny due to tightened regulations but still serves many long-term visa holders. Comments highlight that the needed documentation, including passport and TM30, is essential for account opening across various banks. Overall, several users emphasize their positive experiences with these banks over the long term.
UOB has been great for me for over 15 years . Never had a problem .

The regulations have been severely tightened. Because many use the Bangkok Bank, there are also the most negative comments. If all documents are completely available,So registration slip, passport, TM30, letter from IMMI, best confirmation of the telephone provider that it is a telephone number in your name ( no prepaid tariffs ), personal appearance on the bank With identification and such things, it is actually possible to open an account anywhere.
they closed and stole my money years ago, was a investigation into the fraud with the management years ago but I have never heard anything and everything hushed up. Luckily only around 289,000 bht, no explanation, Pattaya bank said No have information!

I've had Bangkok and Krungthai accounts for 12 years without any issues, but I wouldn't open a new one with Bangkok Bank right now.
