TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand, specifically under the soft power category, it is required to demonstrate financial stability by providing bank statements. Typically, applicants must submit bank statements covering the last three months with a balance of at least 500,000 Thai Baht (or its foreign currency equivalent). The following details are essential for the application: the statements must be official (in PDF format or stamped copies), showing your name, the balance over the entire three-month period, and that the funds are liquid and available (not locked or invested). While requirements may vary by consulate, it is mainly essential to show not just the current balance but also account activity to verify the funds were held consistently. Generally, statements from personal checking or savings accounts are preferred over business accounts.

For DTV Soft Power, you’re normally asked to show bank statements covering the last 3 months with a balance of at least 500,000 THB (or equivalent).

What they typically want:

• Official bank statements (PDF from the bank or stamped copies)

• Your name clearly shown on the account

• The balance visible across the 3-month period

• The funds clearly available (not locked or invested)

It doesn’t have to be in Thai baht — equivalent foreign currency is fine. The key is that the funds are liquid and in your name.

I just took the first two pages of each month’s statement PDF, which included my address and totals (over $16,000 for three months), and combined the three months into one compressed PDF.

Generally they must be in a personal chequing or savings accounts and it’s pretty rare for them to accept business accounts.

UnforgettableRambutan8343 but I am saying I can put the 15k into any account that’s personal, no issue there.

But it’s the question of… what they looking for in the 3 month statements.

X amount of income in per month or?

This is consulate dependent, but of course the current bank statement. Some consulates demand the funds be in the account for a certain period of time, others have no seasoning requirements. Some consulates will want to see you from 3 to 6 months of statement others just the current statement with the 500k.
