Do you need to show that you’ve had 500K in your account for 3 months before applying for a DTV visa? I’m from the UK. Will my business account suffice?

Business account will not work. It must be a bank account in your name.
You don't need to show 500k for 3 months at most embassies. They want 3 months of bank statements, but only the most recent once must show 500k.
