TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking recommendations for countries suitable for a border run from Thailand, specifically for Turkish passport holders. The discussion reveals various suggestions including Laos, Cambodia, and Penang, Malaysia. Users highlight that some border runs are not feasible for Turkish passport holders via land to Cambodia and provide tips on where to do a visa run, including advisories about local visa requirements and experiences at the borders.
I am on a visa run at the moment, when crossing the border at the Vientiane friendship bridge the Thai immigration lady told me I could not come back in?...let's see I will try tomorrow
is on the border of nam rom district of chanthaburi and Cambodia. You don't need a visa agency. Just turn up. You will be met by usually a young woman or man. They will take your 1600b and guide you over the border and back.

Ok..if you need a visa, then you must go to the consulate or Embassy that issues them. E.g Laos, Vientiane or Savannakhet. Or Cambodia or Penang or even Singapore.
Otherwise just pick a border, stay in the other place overnight and come back
Don't forget it isn't a race, you can take your time ymto visit the other country
Where are you in Thailand? What type of visa? ..or is it just 60 day visa free entry?

Burak Kurt I've not done a DTV. If you already have the visa you are allowed multiple entries....maxumum stay of 180 days? So that would require just keavu g and returning to re-activate your visa. As I understand it, if you hold a DTV, you can leave and re-enter Thailand as many times as you want without having to apply for a re-entry permit.
If you haven't got a DTV yet, the best way is to get one online - it requires proof of funds. - at least 500,000 Thai Baht
There have been a few anti tourists issues there in the last few months. Pity, as it came about when I was planning a short visit. Decided to stay away.
