TLDR : Answer Summary
The best place for a border bounce in Thailand varies depending on your location and travel preferences. Popular suggestions include Vietnam (especially Phu Quoc for its visa exemptions), Malaysia, and Laos. Travelers have shared their experiences flying to these destinations for short breaks, emphasizing the convenience and affordability. Options like flying to other nearby cities or choosing places you'd like to explore rather than just for the visa run are also recommended.

There are many cheap flights from Bkk to Vietnam : Hanoi , HCM , da nang … specially Phu Quoc Island where u have visa exemption for many countries. Otherwise you may need evisa ( it takes 5-7 working to apply ) and living costs are quite similar to Thailand

This time I am going to Japan but last time was laos. Laos was not bad and rather enjoyed it. Wish I would've made it a 3 or 4 day trip.

Fly to another city for few thousand and enjoy a short break, better than being stuck on a van or bus

I've done Bali and back. 3 nights. However, I would not suggest going if you're trying to save money. I spent around 63,000 baht.

I should also add, make sure you fill out the Digital arrival card online before you try to re-enter Thailand. It's free.

I took a super cheap flight (3600) to Phu Quoc Vietnam from BKK because they have a visa exemption there for many countries, hotels at low cost, and Vietnamese food. Stayed for a couple nights to explore and came back. I spent around 7000 baht for everything 3 days/2 nights hotel, flights, food, etc

For us it was Malaysia. Since we wanted to check it out anyways. Just went there for 2 weeks and looked around. Id suggest going somewhere you'd like to see.
