does anyone know the best way besides plane to do a border run from chiang mai. i was denied on the plane due to medical reasons even tho I have a note from a doctor saying it’s okay for me to travel so i need to find another way.

What's your medical issue that you would be denied travel by plane? Anyway, go to Laos. The Cambodian and Burmese borders are closed (except for Mae Sai-Tachilek, which is open if you sign up for an expensive tour via a Burmese agency and get your visa through the Burmese embassy in Bangkok or the consulate-general in Chiang Mai).

Go to Laos. Take the slow boat to Luang Prabang. Then the high speed rail to Vientiane. And back into Thailand from there. Enjoy the trip. Ahha
