I’m on an ED visa and every time I’ve extended it was always to the 22nd of the month. My last extension for some reason expires on July 16th. I’ve already booked my flight home on the 17th 🙈.

What are my options? Don’t want to have to change flight and don’t want to overstay because I might come back. Can I extend it by a day somehow?

Update on this, just done my final extension at immigration and I was told no need to cancel this ED visa as it’s only 9 months (3+2+2+2).

Also I told him I had booked my flight a day after my visa runs out and he said I can extend for 7 days for 1900 baht or just over stay a day and pay 500 at airport. He suggested I did the latter as it’s cheaper and no black mark against me for the future.

Like I said when you fly out they usually waive the 500 baht overstay fine and just put that stamp like I posted earlier with the thai wording saying you overstayed under 24 hours

When you fly out they usually waive the one day 500baht overstay fine if you are leaving in under 24 hours after your stamp expires.

They just put a small thai wording stamp next to your exit stamp

You take paperwork from your school that says you are stopping studying, and go to the immigration office (you can go up to a month early), they will cancel your current extension and stamp you in until it's expiration date.

it will if you ever try to get an extension of staty again because you never canceled this one correctly..

Remember IF you are not going to continue to study you should go and cancel your extension at the immigration office. Just leaving the country doesn't cancel it officially with the immigration office.
