I tried to apply for tourist visa online, but they want proof of airfares in and out, as well as itinerary and a hotel booking for everyday I plan to remain in Thailand. Also 3 months of banking. I don't want to pay for a hotel in advance of my visa approval and a flight BEFORE getting a visa. Is there any other way? Thank you for any advice.
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a tourist visa to Thailand online, it's common to encounter requirements for proof of round-trip airfares, a detailed itinerary, and hotel bookings. Many applicants express concerns about having to pay for accommodations and flights before securing their visas. Suggestions from the community include booking accommodations that offer free cancellation, using a short-term hotel booking, or securing an affordable onward ticket. Others mentioned that presenting minimal documentation, like a single bank statement or a temporary booking, might suffice. Ultimately, if embassies enforce strict rules, securing a cancellable booking and evidence of onward travel may be necessary.
