TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a Non-O spouse visa and find a job in Thailand, it is advisable to remain on your current visa and have the company apply for a work permit instead of switching to a Non-B visa. This method allows you to retain your visa status even if you lose your job, as a Non-B visa would be invalidated without employment.

I have a non-o spouse and I have a WP, it certainly is possible. Go this route because as Steven said above ๐Ÿ‘†, if you lose your job for some reason, your visa is cancelled.

Better to stay on non o spouse visa/ext. If you quit or lose your job, it won't cancel your visa. If you switch to nonB/ext and quit or lose job , it effectively cancels it. No job = no more b visa.

You can apply for a work permit and legally work having a Non Imm O marriage visa or an extention of stay based on marriage. No need to change to Non Imm B.

You should stay on your non-O and the company will just apply for a work permit for you.

or they can just stay on the 400k in the bank method. Having a work permit and working doesn't change the options available to meet the financial requirements. They're completely independent of work status.

there's more than one type of non o. Non o ( marriage) employment is not prohibited. In fact. I don't even tell immigration I have a wp. As I've been using the 400,000 in the bank method.
