Should I mention my rental income in my DTV application and what are the fund seasoning requirements?

Hello, I plan to apply for the DTV in London. I currently have two sources of income. One is my remote freelance business which is the bulk of my income, however I also make around 1200GBP/month from two property rentals in the UK. Should I mention this? I don't know if it will strengthen or weaken my application.

Also, I've been told that there is no seasoning requirement for the funds in London, however I wanted to check if anyone has transfered the funds in to your bank acc and immediately applied? Mine arrived in my current account a couple of days ago and I already have a closing statement with 11k+. Wondering if I'd be pushing my luck by applying THAT quickly after receiving the funds. Only in the UK for a few weeks and really want to get it done ASAP.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a DTV visa from London and is unsure whether to mention their rental income in the application. Community responses suggest that including this income strengthens the application. It is confirmed that there is no strict seasoning requirement for funds in the UK, with some users reporting approvals for deposits just hours old. However, others advise waiting 10 days before applying after receiving a significant amount in the bank to avoid potential delays.

Another question - I only have HMRC receipts for the rental income. Is this likely to be a proglem?

Anonymous participant London does ask but there are valid reasons for not having a taxreceipt so you just explain if requested

i have bank statements showing I can support myself financially, just that I don't tend to keep more than a few thousand in my current accounts so need to transfer in for savings

This is direct from London Embassy “The required amount must be held for at least 10 days prior to the submission of the DTV application until the visa decision is made. The bank statement should be dated from the last 30 days or 3 months. Please note that any investment-related accounts cannot be accepted”

There is no seasoning requirement in the UK. Approvals given for deposits a few hours old. It is ok to mention your rental income, it strengthens your application, highlights financial independence.

yeah same. I've had it 4 days now. It's frustrating as I clearly have enough in savings.

I don't suppose you know much about HMRC receipts? Is that a common request?

I saw a post where someone shared a request from the London embassy which mentioned 10 days. It is NOT however stated on the uk embassy website.

I suppose if they've requested it after the application then it would be more like a delay than a denial. But also a risk

Anonymous participant Yeah, it would be a delay. Will see over the next week or so if it is an actual requirement as more post.
