Hi everyone! I want to get a DTV visa in the next month or so, currently in Thailand on visa exemption. Can you please tell me a list of documents I would need to submit for a successful application, and the best possible country to submit with the best chances of approval in my situation?
I got a legit remote job on 20th of February with a B2B contract which I can submit as confirmation of employment, but I’ve been working without a valid contract before that for a couple of years.
I have the needed 17k$ in my home country bank account, but the amount has been deposited as two large sums at once a couple of weeks ago, and I would be able to submit only two payslips from my current workplace.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on the required documents and the optimal country for submitting a DTV visa application, currently holding a visa exemption in Thailand. They mention having a remote job and sufficient funds in their bank account but have concerns about the timing of their application due to holidays. Comments suggest checking embassy requirements for bank balances, using agents to facilitate applications, and noting delays around the Songkran holidays.
Applying from April 1. You wont get in before Songkran. April 6 is also a Thai's public holiday. You should receive by like probably a week after Songkran. Expect to wait 3 weeks or longer
Many embassies require for you to have maintained a balance of 500k baht over at least 3 months but there are reports from Vietnam that a final balance of 500k is sufficient
Anonymous participant Agreed 👍 if you don't have a Thai immigration history during the past 12 months of not entering Thailand as Visa Exempt entry with extensions of stay. Suggest you use an experienced border run service company for the same day return border bounce. They will know.
