What embassy to apply from London or Paris?

Hello, I am an Irish passport holder (no other passport) but I am a resident in France with a French residency card, so naturally I should be applying in Paris but my bank account is a GBP UK bank. Normally I would apply from Paris as anyone knows how to convert currency but would rather double check before spending 350€. Physically I am located in France but I travel to Ireland all the time so at the time of application I can be in either Ireland or France. My documents are all in English and both countries only require most recent single bank statement. With London requiring 2k less in the account.

Thank you in advance

Edit: Paris embassy have said the following “You need to show a bank certificate with 15,000 in euros.” So Paris does not accept the equivalent in a foreign currency incase anyone wants to apply in the future.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is an Irish passport holder residing in France, contemplating where to apply for a Thai visa, either from the embassy in London or Paris. They prefer to apply in Paris due to their residency but are concerned about currency conversion as their bank account is in GBP, which affects their required bank balance for the application. They note that the Paris embassy requires a bank statement reflecting €15,000, while London has less stringent financial requirements. A comment suggests that London has a faster approval process and better reputation for handling inquiries.
