TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the possibility of applying for the Thai DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) while in the UK but holding funds in a Spanish bank account. The discussion highlights the importance of having the necessary financial documentation, such as six months of bank statements, and clarifies that although there may be specific currency concerns, the embassy may consider the situation logically. It is also noted that the DTV visa does not permit work within Thailand.

The London embassy will have a figure. Maybe 12k. If it’s in euros in Spain maybe a challenge for their rules but I’m sure they’ll be sensible

What is your passport nation ? UK ??

For what purpose for the DTV visa are you applying for?

Workcation ?

Soft Power activity ?

If soft power... which activity?

You do know that you cannot work inside Thailand with the DTV visa. No work is allowed inside Thailand... including DJ gigs in Thai clubs.

I spend my winters in Thailand working online so I feel like this would be a good visa option, I work in Spain in the summer may-October as a DJ

But work remotely online in the winter months πŸ˜‡

Will be easier with Muay Thai, Language is not really covered by the Softpower option. Can apply in the UK with your Spanish account.

Do you know how often you have to take part in the classes? πŸ˜‡

There is no fixed schedule you must take. The duration of the course is more important, a 6 months plus course will strengthen your application.
