I’m getting a visa exemption extension but at the same time, I need to claim my new passport soon too. Is it important for me to do one first before the other or it doesn’t matter?

TLDR : Answer Summary
It's advisable to apply for the Extension of Stay before claiming your new passport. This allows you some time to finalize your passport application without risking your visa status.

First apply for the Extension of Stay, so you have some time to get your passport.

Bank statement and onward travel not needed for Extension of Stay. After receiving your new passport you just use both to exit the country.

Great! Thanks Robert! So no need to have my extension stamp transferred to my new passport ?

Also, would I need to prepare my bank statement and proof of onward travel for a visa extension?
