My buddy next door received a COVID extension that expires 8 May. He is disabled so I’m giving him a ride. Is there a window of days before or after since the 8th is a Sunday.

Also his flight back to Belgium is at the end of the month of May. Will immigration give him any Lea way to accommodate his flight out of Thailand. We report in Chumphon.

Thx

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about the expiration of a COVID extension for a disabled person and if there is any leeway regarding their departure from Thailand given that the expiration falls on a Sunday (8 May). Comments suggest applying for a COVID extension now, as it seems manageable, and departing before the expiration date (preferably before Monday) could be beneficial.

You should go before, but since the 8th is a Sunday your last day would be Monday. It would likely look better than appearing on the Monday.

, That is incorrect information. The last day would never be postponed and it is as on stamp regardless of what day of the week. So if you go on Monday, it's the next day of your last day, You will get an overstay stamp. Just an overstay fine would be waived because the office is closed during holiday/weekend.

And agree, It'd definitely look better to go before the weekend than getting an overstay stamp.

I badly worded it. Thx. I meant the last day to get the extension before being totally illegally in the kingdom kinda thing.

, understood, but "before being totally illegally" is a dangerous saying. Once you are on overstay, it IS illegal. There just a fine is waived doesn't mean it is "not illegal".

Yea, that’s my plan. I’ll probably bring him the 4th or 5th. Thanks
