I hired an agent to apply for a retirement visa. Turns out she got me confused with someone else with the same first name and never filed anything. Now my visa on arrival (which has been extended to the 90 day max) is due to expire five days before my flight home. Is there a way to get an extra five days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The person hired an agent to apply for a retirement visa, but the agent confused them with another client and failed to file the application. Their current visa on arrival, already extended to the 90-day maximum, is set to expire just five days before their flight home. They are seeking options to obtain an additional five days on their visa.

Why were you applying for a retirement visa with a pending flight home? Something is not right here.

I had planned to come back after visiting my parents, but have now changed my mind. If I apply again, I will do it from a consulate outside Thailand.

If you told her you had "visa on arrival" but arrived "visa exempt/no visa" that also may have confused her.

At many offices you can apply for another extension but it will be refused and you’ll be given 7 more days to stay. Some will date it from the day you apply, not add them on.

I had heard that, but that means I would have to wait until two days before my current visa expires. I’m a little anxious to not have something secured before then.
