Is there a difference between applying for a workation visa from Hanoi, Jakarta, or HCMC with a dependent?
Looking to apply for workation with a dependent from SE Asia, is there really a big difference between applying from Hanoi, Jakarta, or HCMC? And it is better to stay in the cities or can you stay in bali for example instead of jakarta? Thanks

I applied for the dependent visa in Hanoi and it was approved this week after 6 business days.
From what I’ve been seeing, HCM hasn’t had many approvals in the last few days.
There was a recent report from Jakarta asking for more complex documents. It’s worth reviewing your documents carefully and checking if you have a solid legal basis, so you don’t leave room for doubts before choosing Jakarta.

The quickest place now to apply, and inexpensive to wait there, is in Yangon in Myanmar.

I would recommend against HCM ATM. The timeline is really long to process the visa.

You can apply from Bali but if asked for an interview then you must go to Jakarta. With Vietnam, Hanoi and HCMC cover different cities so apply according to where you are staying at time of application. You can visit other areas after you apply.
