TLDR : Answer Summary
The fastest way for a German citizen to apply for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand varies based on the specific visa type and purpose of application. Two main pathways are mentioned: the 'Workation' scheme, which requires a comprehensive documentation process including a foreign employment contract and professional portfolio, and the 'Thai Soft Power' visa, which has less stringent requirements but necessitates enrollment in a cultural activity, like cooking or Muay Thai courses. Several comments highlight that approvals for German applicants can be challenging but have been more successful through education programs in Southeast Asia. Consider reaching out to visa agencies for assistance to expedite the application process.
Hi Marco, like someone else has commented. It really depends on whether you are applying under Workation or Thai Soft Power.
Applying under workation scheme requires more documentation and scrutiny like foreign employment contract, copy of business registration, professional portfolio, among other documents.
Applying under Thai Soft Power requires enrolling in a cultural activity like our cooking programs, or a Muay Thai course. The requirements are less for Thai Soft Power but requires the additional course registration.
Regarding duration of application, that depends on your nationality and country of application. For Germany, it is currently difficult to get approved under Thai Soft Power. We have recent applicants who were approved using our school program and applying from SEA countries such as Philippines, Vietnam and Laos.
Hope this helps and happy to share more details for our program if you wish to find out more. We also work with some of the leading visa agencies and law firms who uses our cooking school for their DTV clients and can assist with the application process.
