For Non-B visa extension, the last day of stay is given based on the job contract or work permit?

If the contract ends on 31st of March, and work permit ends on 30th april, then is the extension given till 31st march or 30th April?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The extension for a Non-B visa is determined by the last day of employment as indicated in the job contract. In the scenario provided, if the contract ends on March 31st and the work permit expires on April 30th, the visa extension would be granted until March 31st.

It would be the last day of employment, (in this case 31 March), as that is when your eligibility for that extension expires.
