I’ve just been given my Non-B visa stamp for 90 days. When I go back will this be extended by 9 months, or 12 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification about the extension period of their Non-B visa after receiving a 90-day stamp. Comments suggest that the extension could be for 12 months, depending on the visa application process and work contract duration. It is highlighted that the initial 90-day stamp does not reflect a contract limitation, but rather the specific visa granted.

Was this a Non B for teaching issued by Thai immigration inside Thailand?

How about we actually figure out what you're doing FIRST?

Did you apply for a non-b visa out at Chaengwattana at Counter B with documentation from your employer for 2000 baht, waited the 2 week under review and then went back and had the Non-B visa and a new 90 day stamp inked in?

yes, this is correct.

@Benner *********
then you follow my second comment that starts with "IFthat's the case" 😉 that's what you do to go from a 90 day Non-B to a year extension based on employment.

Your employer should know what to do

IF that's the case
@Benner *********
, then when you have 45 days or less left on your current 90 day stamp you take MORE documentation from your employer go back to Chaengwattana and apply for a year extension,

if you're teaching you'll do it in Section N, if you're working for a company in a position OTHER than teaching you will use Section M

You'll apply, pay the 1900baht, get a 30 day under consideration stamp, and then after that stamp runs down you go back and get the year extension inked into your passport

That's what it is! lol

yep, that's what I thought after they answered (y)

You apply for a 1 year extension.

@Chris ******
so, in total that’ll be 15 months including the 90 days I’ve just been stamped?
Chris *******
@Benner *********
yes if it coincides with your work contract.

When your work contract expires its done.
Lloyd ********
You mean at immigration as opposed to entering the country?
Lloyd ********
Is your passport or contract only for 90 days? Seems strange that they only gave you 90 days
Lloyd ********
not this

This
Lloyd ********
just to confirm, it is the stamp that is for 90 days, not the white slip of paper that indicates your next 90 day report
