I’ve just been given my Non-B visa stamp for 90 days. When I go back will this be extended by 9 months, or 12 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification about the extension period of their Non-B visa after receiving a 90-day stamp. Comments suggest that the extension could be for 12 months, depending on the visa application process and work contract duration. It is highlighted that the initial 90-day stamp does not reflect a contract limitation, but rather the specific visa granted.

Was this a Non B for teaching issued by Thai immigration inside Thailand?

How about we actually figure out what you're doing FIRST?
Did you apply for a non-b visa out at Chaengwattana at Counter B with documentation from your employer for 2000 baht, waited the 2 week under review and then went back and had the Non-B visa and a new 90 day stamp inked in?
then you follow my second comment that starts with "IFthat's the case" 😉 that's what you do to go from a 90 day Non-B to a year extension based on employment.
, then when you have 45 days or less left on your current 90 day stamp you take MORE documentation from your employer go back to Chaengwattana and apply for a year extension,
if you're teaching you'll do it in Section N, if you're working for a company in a position OTHER than teaching you will use Section M
You'll apply, pay the 1900baht, get a 30 day under consideration stamp, and then after that stamp runs down you go back and get the year extension inked into your passport
