Been offered a good visa deal but would like some advice (wary of fake stamps)

For context:

They mentioned they don't have a website but their name is NP thai visa services or western university

They are based in Buriram and are doing around 50K-70KTHB for a 1 year stamp

So im curious, IF it is a fake stamp, what are the consequences?

Recently I did an ED visa and was promised online classes, then weeks later it was changed to 2-4 in person classes/week, but I cannot do that as I’m busy with my online business

Would love to hear your advice, thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user expresses concern about a visa offer from NP Thai Visa Services, questioning its legitimacy due to the absence of a website and the low price for a 1-year stamp. Users provide mixed opinions, with some suggesting the stamp might be real but illegal, while others recommend obtaining visas through legitimate channels. Discussions include experiences with back-door visa services and advice about visa runs, emphasizing the importance of caution when considering visa offers.

Any update regarding that visa? I was offered something very similar but I'm unsure of the legitimacy.

Thai immigration police arrested a woman and seized several items of equipment used for making counterfeit visas today (Monday), in a raid on a condo in Bangkok’s Khannayao district.

The arrest of the woman, identified only as “Angsana”, and the seizure of fake passports and forging equipment, which included ink, pens and seals, is a follow-up operation by immigration police after a number of foreigners were found with fake visas as they were leaving Thailand.

Angsana was charged with conspiring with other people to falsify visas. An investigation found that the fake visas were probably from the same source, a company in the Bueng Kum area, which provides a service applying for visas for foreigners.

I have been fortunate with the back-door visa (Volunteer), but I don't recommend back-door services. I would recommend doing legit always. Even if that means doing several visa runs a year. Penang is a nice place to visit, easy to get a visa, why not go there. It maybe inconvenient but so is detention. "Up to you" as they say.

anyone with common sense can answer this question.

If you don't have a valid stay permit, you would stay illegally, Point.

If the stamp is real, but bought and you are aware of that, it can get more difficult.

Why not ask the immigration office, if they know that agent and what they think about that offer before you take it?
Maxim ***********
I think what you are getting offered is the new Business Visa option which came after volunteer visa were discontinued. You will get a work permit but it's still back-door so don't go around telling everyone and you should be fine. For such visa, I recommend contacting

Those non-B visas don’t come with a work permit. They’re a non-B for the purposes of investing not working.

There’s no way they’re doing a non-B and WP and covering all the income and social security taxes for you for 50-70k a year, and that’s assuming they got you a WP under a BOI company, if it’s a regular Thai company you’d also be paying income and social security tax on 4 Thai employees.

Generally the umbrella company WP + Visa costs around 150k a year

@Maxim **********
correct. And in due course the non b visa will go down the same route as the volunteer and ed visa.

What Visa category does it come under, what type of Visa is it? ED visa etc..?

Do. A visa run. Cambodia. Easy & safe

Pls be careful about this kind of service.

Most likely it is not a fake stamp.

A real stamp but still could be illegal.

you can be arrested, deported at your expense, and banned from returning for 5, or 10 years, depending. There are fake stamps never issued by immigration. There are also corrupt immigration officials issuing them illegally, and now with a heavy crackdown on immigration agents issuing them. Last month started a heavy crackdown when a bunch of Chinese were issues ED, and charitable foundation volunteer visas over the last few years, as we're many others. 17 high ranking immigration agents in three provinces were removed, and are awaiting prosecution. Immigration has no sympathy for anyone using these types of corrupt agents.

@Harry *********
Yes technically you can be punished for it.

ait thanks. do you know if fake stamps are common
Ulrik *********
A friend did it same way as you, and had a nice ED sticker in his passport. Unfortunately it didn't show up in immigration database, and that resulted in a very very long overstay.

If any problems occur, you will have a hard time explaining why you don't speak Thai, never been in the classroom or know what school you attend.

Fake stamp or not, you break the law if you don't attend classes.

@Harry *********
I am not an expert but as far as I know there is no such thing as fake stamp.

Only real stamps but issued by immigration officer(s) illegally as they took a bribe..

It was very common yes

While noting I'm not an expert and the extension of stay stamps may well have variations per office, that extension of stay is significantly different to any stamp I've had over the years. There is usually several lines above but it could be the specific office. Also, unless L at the top of your pic might stand for LTR visa, the visa class is usually included in the extension stamp.
Thomas *************************
@Harry *********
That’s not a Visa, it’s an extension of stay, and a re-entry permit.

The thing dated today is re-entry permit, which anyone on “non-tourist” visa can get.
Chris ************
@Thomas ************************
tourist visa and visa exemption can get a r-entry permit as well.
John **********
@Thomas ************************
I see no re-entry permit. That's an extension of stay but I find it odd the dates don't match, usually they are for a full 12 months

Looks real to me. But I dunno how you’d judge a fake. They likely use the exact same stamp and Ink color as immigration.

@Harry *********
The stamps people get when they go through an agency are not fake but in many cases they're fraudulently obtained.
Thomas *************************
@Harry *********
Seemed more common during Covid, haven’t heard much about fake ones for a while.
