Good morning All and thanks for adding me to this Group.

I would like to know the experience of people who have already had or who are currently under the ED Visa delivered by Chakrit Muay Thai School:

1. Is this ED Visa serious? I mean:

a. Is the school serious and rigorously following the procedure for the application and the issuance of this ED visa?

b. Does the school provide the necessary legal documents for the application of this ED visa?

c. Is the school really recognized by the Ministry of Education?

2. How long is the validiaty of their ED Visa? The school said: 90 days + 2 x 90 days extension = total 9 months: is it true?

3. How do immigration officers check our attendance at the course (eg for Thai language school, there are a language test)? How about a muay thai school: must we fight in the Rajadamnoen stadium (I'm kidding); seriously: this is just about the trust between the student, the school and the immigration?

4. In which consultate is it preferable to apply this ED visa (Vientiane, KL, Penang, Yangon, other ...)?

Sorry for my long questions, and thanks again to all the people who can share their experience about it and provide accurate answers about this Visa.

Best regards.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks insights from others on their experiences with the ED Visa provided by Chakrit Muay Thai School in Thailand. Key concerns include the legitimacy of the school and its adherence to visa application procedures, the length of the visa's validity, how attendance is monitored, and recommendations for the best Thai consulate to apply at. Respondents indicate that the school is recognized and serious about visa procedures, confirming the validity of the ED Visa as 90 days with possible extensions, and that attendance is tracked to comply with immigration requirements.

You can go to any Thai consulate to get the ED Visa...most people like the Vientiane Consulate due to it's close, and cheap to get there...it will take at least 3 days though...

Leave at Night on Day 1,

Day 2 Arrive at Laos Border at 0500 or so go to Consulate give paperwork go to Hotel,

Day 3 get Passport back and arrive back to Thailand....But this is the norm at all the Consulates that you will go to...so if you fly to let's say KL, it's better to leave on a Sunday so you can get to the Consulate on Monday Morning.

Yes, the Ed visa is still valid for 90 days, so every 90 days you have to go to Immigration get the stamp do your 90-day reporting, the School needs to provide all the necessary forms for the Immigration office for a successful extension. At the conclusion of your class, you will need to either re-up or preplan to leave, do a border bump to get 30 days more days, pay at immigration for a 30-day stamp, or pay at immigration for a 7-day stamp.

Not sure if the school is honorable or not but if the majority of students are getting extensions then it is a good school to be in.

I did it with them a few years back. It's legit. You have to attend a minimum no of sessions a week for the visa, which was included in the price. They do follow procedure and they did have an immi officer come and visit at times. They had a register you sign each time to show your attendance. Paperwork is all done, but you need to be aware yourself of what /when you're required to go to immigration etc. I went to chaengwattana one time, and made sure I had pics on my phone of the training so I could show the officers if they questioned (which they did). But they were more amused than anything; I think it was just a nice change for them from all the language students they get
