Is it true now that once registered we no longer have to te register if returning to home base in the Kimgdom? I read this and it would be great not to have to re register after every 3 to 4 day trip! [members only]).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The information regarding the TM30 registration requirements is inconsistent and varies by local immigration offices in Thailand. While some offices may indicate that re-registration is no longer necessary after short trips, others, like in Jomtien, have reverted to requiring it. It is advised to consult with your local immigration office for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Depends on your immigration office. Jomtien now DOES require it again. They did go some time saying it wasn’t necessary but that’s now changed again.

This is a old article and for sure it not reflects the current situation. Its no general rule. Only your local immigration can answer it. But i know many demand a new TM30. And comming back from abroad now even requires you to do the first 90 day report in person if your a longstayer

that I don't mind the in person report. But the constant TM 30 when I leave for 4 days and return is exhausting

No, it's not true. The only people who can answer would be your local immigration office. Some require you to report every time you return, and some only require it if you leave Thailand and return.
