the way to know if it was saved is to exit out (actually log out and log back in, THEN use the "search" function, put the check in date in BOTH search parameter boxes and if the data comes up it was saved. If it doesn't it wasn't.
If it did save you need to do a print screen of that and it'll be your TM30 receipt.
We used the app last week without issue; first time since Pre Covid.

Oh and I know the mobile android Section 38 app works because I just registered myself on it and then delete the registration (you can delete entries within 24 hours) 😉
If the App doesn't work, and you have an actual hotel with a hotel license number, talk to the immigration office and see if they can't give you an e-mail address to send the TM30 directly to them.
