Hey, if I fly from bangkok to Laos (Vientiane), and enter the country through the land border an hour later, is that problematic (is it bad to reenter so fast)?

Or is it better to stay a night in Laos? Does it really matter?

This will be the 3rd time im entering thailand this year.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to reenter Thailand after a brief visit to Laos primarily depends on the discretion of the immigration officer. While it is not inherently problematic to reenter so quickly, previous entries and the method of entry (land vs. air) may influence their decision. If you've already used your allowed land border crossings for the year, you might face issues, but staying overnight in Laos does not significantly change your situation.

If you haven't exhausted your '2 land border bounces' per calendar year then it wont be a problem.

They're either going to let you in or not, staying the night in Laos won't make any difference.

Kind of going to be up to the immigration officer you present yourself in front of, unless your previous 2 entries were also by land in which case you either need to get a visa or fly in
