Is it okay to return to Thailand on a 45-day waiver after exiting to Laos for a few weeks?

Coming into Thailand from the UK on the 45 day waiver and heading into Laos for a few weeks before the 45 days is up then back to Thailand for the remainder on a new entry. 3 months away in total. Have return tickets to UK but for February, is this OK for entry at immigration? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a travel plan where someone is entering Thailand from the UK on a 45-day visa waiver, exiting to Laos, and returning to Thailand before the initial visa waiver expires. A comment advises that as long as the traveler does not have a problematic travel history, immigration at Thailand's passport control should not pose an issue. However, potential complications might arise with the airline regarding check-in due to the return ticket dated beyond the stay period.

Unless you have an extensive history of traveling/staying in Thailand, you wouldn't have a problem with the immigration office at passport control on arrival. You would have more problems with your air carrier on your check-in without a proper visa but with a ticket beyond your permitted-to-stay period. Check with your airline.

Thank you Ellie. We'll get an airline ticket into Laos before we leave UK to leave Thailand before the 45 day visa is up. Thanks again. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
