Again I am coming to Thailand in April on a 30 day tourist visa with my Thai wife.

What do I need to do if I decide to stay longer?

I have Thai Blue Book, Australian Marriage Certificate and Thai Bank account.

Would like to stay until July.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your stay in Thailand beyond the 30-day tourist visa, you have several options. You can obtain a 90-day Non-Immigrant Type O visa based on your marriage to a Thai citizen, which can be applied for at a Thai consulate before your trip. Alternatively, once in Thailand, you could get a tourist visa and apply for a 30-day extension, followed by a 60-day family visit extension. Financial requirements include having 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account or proof of monthly income of at least 40,000 THB. Additionally, you can consider taking a short trip to a neighboring country to reset your visa if needed.

What about a one way plane ticket to Laos from BKK and then bus it back to Roi Et. How long should another visa be then for?

All I am after is an extension until July in May while I am over there in May.

I was hoping to do that in Pattaya. It is to hard to do it here in Darwin as the Thai Consulate is in Canberra, miles away on the other site of Australia.

You could also probably get a 90 day Non-Immigrant Type O visa based on marriage to a thai from a thai consulate in Oz before you wing your way here too.

Then you could either go for the year extension or just the 60 day visit family one..

If all you're wanting to do is stay until July, get a single entry tourist visa from a thai consulate in your country BEFORE you come here, then extend that at the immigration office for 30 days and then extend it again for 60 days based on visiting family. That gets you to july

First there is no such thing as a 30 day tourist visa, so you'd be comin' in on a 30 day visa exempt entry.

You can't have a blue house book because unless you have permanent residence status or hold a thai passport a foreigner can't be listed in it. Foreigners get yellow house books.

Be that as it may, you would apply for a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai at the local immigration office. Then once you had that you would apply for a yearly extension based on marriage. Both require proof of financials where you either have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for the requisite seasoning period OR you have a notarized letter from your consulate stating you get 40K baht a month in income.

I would make a trip to the local immigration office where you live once you're here and get the hand out sheet they have which lists the requirements.

I’m just in a bad situation at the moment which is mostly work related. The only time I know 100% if I will stay longer in by the 1st of May when I am in Thailand and then need to extend for 2 month. I am sure I can do while I am there. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I knew that ;) But still the advice for the various ways you can stay longer is correct :)
