TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about obtaining a 1-year Non-B visa for Thailand and has been advised by their new lawyer to consider the Philippines for this process. Community feedback indicates that, as of now, the only places in Southeast Asia known to issue a 1-year, multi-entry Non-B visa are Penang and Kota Bharu. There are no confirmed reports of such visas being issued from the Philippines, and applicants are reminded to check for holiday closures during the Songkran festival.
keep in mind the holiday closures for the songkran holiday if you're going and definitely report back on whether you got the year-long, multi-entry Non-B from the Philippines or not.
i discourage to take non in philippines...thai embassy in philippines is the most stringent embassy in south east asia if not in the world...

AFAIK the only consulates in S/E Asia that will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-B visa are Penang and Kota Bharu. You must be listed as the managing director on your paperwork and at least as a director on your work permit.
I haven't heard ANY reports of people getting year-long Non-B's from a thai consulate in the Philippines..
it is NOT just the percent of shares you own, it's how long your work permit is valid for (need at least 8 months), it's what you're listed as on the company documents (must be listed as a managing director) and on your work permit (must be listed as at least a director).
