If you have the equivalent to a few million baht in your home country bank but only recieve 55,000 baht a month ,is it still possible to apply for the dtv without going down the soft power road? Thanks.
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around the eligibility for Thailand's Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). To qualify, one needs to demonstrate regular income, particularly from remote work, along with having a bank balance of at least 500,000 baht. Simply having significant funds does not suffice; proof of a verifiable income source is crucial for the DTV application. There are also alternative options such as the Elite Visa, especially for those with substantial savings but lacking an income.

You are required to have a verifiable contract with income from that job into your bank account as well as the 500k equivalent. 😉
If you can’t prove that it will be refused so only option is soft power 🙏🏻
For the remote job category you need a bank account with over 500,000B (which it seems you do), but also to have a remote job and a prove of it. Just having the money doesn't make you elegible. The monthly income is rather irrelevant.
