Will my Krungthai bank account remain usable after switching from an education visa to a digital nomad visa in Thailand?

I am currently holding ed visa and will be switching to dtv. I opened a bank account in Krungthai bank with the letter from current school. Will the bank account be still usable for long term even after switching to dtv?

Do i need to update the visa in bank? Will the bank possibly approve for it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters suggests that once a bank account is opened in Thailand, it generally remains operational regardless of subsequent visa status changes. It is not usually required to update the bank with new visa information after the account is established, although some banks may have specific policies regarding the opening of accounts with certain visa types (e.g., tourist visas). It may also be important to check with your bank about any minimum balance requirements if transitioning to a digital nomad visa.

No need to update because i have SCB and since 15 years changed many type of visas. They are not asking your current visa after opened account once. But they dont open new one with tourist visa.Thats it

You should wait 6 months. Some embassies want money in bank at least 6 months some 3 months for DTV dont forget this

Your task is done, you have yourself a bank account, it matters nothing what visa you have or don't have.

Should be fine. One of my accounts with Krungsri was opened when I was on B and Work Permit. I have never updated my visa type and never been asked. Still get certain perks only WP holders get :-)
