Hi everyone,

I applied for the DTV yesterday under the soft power clause. LA embassy. I was very meticulous about my application, thanks to all the hints and tips in the group. But today I got an email request for further documents and everything they’re requesting are things I already submitted - visa photo, financial statement, and proof of location. I’m so confused. I can resubmit them again, of course. But is this normal?

Answer summary

The user applied for a DTV visa under the soft power clause at the LA embassy and received a request for documents they had already submitted. They express confusion about this request and wonder if it's a normal occurrence. Comments from others indicate that receiving such requests is common in visa applications, suggesting that applicants may sometimes face redundant paperwork requirements.

I got requested a new photo as well, the second time I tied my hair up and remove my glasses. Try another picture.

After spending a certain amount of time in Thailand this starts to feel normal. They randomly come up with something new. We have to accept that and just stay calm 🙏
