Hello everyone! I have a question. I applied for an ED visa at a language school in chiangmai. Now they need my rental contract. I already have TM30, I can fully prove my address, and the rental contract is my personal privacy information. Is it reasonable and necessary for the school to provide me with a copy of the contract? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a rental contract is common among language schools for ED visa applications in Thailand. While it may feel intrusive, it is often necessary for visa processing. If you are concerned about privacy, consider redacting personal information before submission.

thank you for the help! ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿ‘ƒI have already obtained an ED visa at the consulate, the school needs my contract for the next extension. I have given them a photocopy and did not cover personal information ๐Ÿ˜“(I regretted it before I posted it). I care about it, since I bought my mobile phone card, I received an unknown strange phone every day.๐Ÿ˜

I am hearing this is a requirement at more and more language schools SO I'd say it's not out of the ordinary. As Robert suggested blank out your details

Yes you need to show you rental contract if you want a visa

Sounds like you give it to them or you don't get the paperwork from them for the ED visa

Cover up the personal details and make a copy or scan the contract and blank out with photoshop or paint, blank out all the personal details and print it out.
