Should I complete my 90-day report if I'm leaving Thailand shortly after its due date?

On an extension here (in BKK fwiw). My first 90 day report is due on Aug 26, but I'm leaving the country on Aug 29, coming back a few days later. Would you recommend I do the 90 report, especially considering it's the first time, or should I not bother since I am leaving the country anyway and the 90 day clock will be reset?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is in Bangkok and their first 90-day report is due on August 26, but they plan to leave the country on August 29 and return shortly after. The consensus from comments is to complete the 90-day report to avoid potential fines or trouble during future immigration checks. Failing to submit the report could result in a fine of 2,000 baht, and more severe consequences if caught later.

If you're in Thailand over 90 days you need to report it. There's a 2000 baht fine for not filing. (If arrested its quite a bit more)

Whilst you may not be found out for not filing an eagle eyed IO on your next 90 report may spot that you have missed the august 26 reporting and fine you.

Other than the fine there is normally little repercussion - your choice report or not (and possibly face a fine).

Notes from Immigration :-

- The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is in no way equivalent to a visa extension.

- If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, will be fined 5,000.- Baht and with an additional fine not exceeding 200.- Baht for each day which passes until the law is complied with.

Do your report. Why risk getting caught being over stayed. Follow the rules.

- okay. Wrong terminology but advice remains the same. Report when you are due to report.
