The user is seeking advice on making a same-day border crossing from Mukdahann to Savannakhet on a 6-month MTV visa before their first 60-day entry expires. Just for my personal information, can you not get a 30 days extension at local immigration?

there is no upside to paying 1900baht for an extension at the immigration office when for less than that you can get another 60 day entry stamp on the METV..

Do it in one day. No need to stay a night in Savannakhet, unless you want to
