Hello guys. Next month I am going to vietnam to apply for another tourist visa (that would be my 5th Tourist visa) and I am slowly getting worried getting problems to get through the immigration at the Airport (DMK) when I am coming back.

I am from Germany and I have a girlfriend here in Thailand, but we are not married yet and I do not work in Thailand so I dont really have different options than the tourist visa.

1) Do you guys have any ideas that increase my chances to immigrate without problems?

2) Do you know after how many tourist visas they are starting to deny entrance to the country?

Thank you for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about potential issues re-entering Thailand on their fifth tourist visa after visiting Vietnam. Key points in the discussion include the unpredictability of immigration officer decisions, the appropriateness of using a tourist visa for extended stays, and the importance of having sufficient financial proof, accommodation details, and onward travel plans ready at immigration. There is no official limit on the number of tourist visas one can hold, but frequent entries may raise suspicions of residing or working illegally in Thailand.

And knowing the answer is the decision of the Immigration Officer and this is tried to discuss many times I close the commenting. We do not know or can predict their decision.

The tourist visa is ment for people spending their holiday in Thailand, not for people living in Thailand, there are other visa options for them. NO, you can not just choose to go somewhere else if you entry is denied, you go into the Immigration Detention center and Immigration with the airline company who brought you to Thailand make the decision, or back to where you came from or back to your home country. Either way, you pay for the ticket.

And does it make sense, if i get denied entry, to just try again at another border?

But they gonna make a problem after so many tourist visas right?

Rules did not change. If you enter Thailand you can be asked for 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in CASH, proof of accommodation and proof of onward travel. I also advice to bring proof of income from abroad to avoid the suspicion of working in Thailand. There is no official limit on how many tourist Visa you can use, if the Immigration officer suspect you from living and working in Thailand it is his decision.
