Just a quick one. I am going immigration this week for my 30 day extension. I have the form and things in my room ready to fill out. I see somewhere you have to use blue ink pen. Is this correct

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is advisable to use a blue ink pen when filling out immigration forms in Thailand, as some offices may insist on it for signatures and form submissions to distinguish original documents from copies. While practices can vary by office, many users recommend using blue ink to avoid redoing forms if they are filled in black.

I used black to fill several forms for 1 year extension.Had to do them all again in blue.!

Blue ink so it doesn’t look like a photo copy. Obviously this was before color copying but some people just insist on it being a ‘thing’ and make you do it in blue.
I think, to be honest, they kind of like you to fill it in when you’re there. 🤷♂️

Yes they have a fixation on blue ink for official forms and signatures

Yes.... Correct

That’s completely office dependent. Some are anal about requiring a blue pen to fill out the forms and your signatures. Some won’t care if it’s blue or black.
Perhaps state what office you are intending to use and others may be able to advise if they are pedantic about what colour.
, yes. as I mentioned, some offices decline if you use a black ink pen, but never heard of anyone who had to refill the form because of using blue ink.
Yes, better use a blue ink pen to put your signature. Some offices accept signatures in black ink, but some others have you fill the forms again with blue-inked signatures if you use black ink.
