Blue pen or black pen? I've seen several takes on ppl having to re-do their forms at Immigration 'cos the colour was wrong.

I'm just about to fill in forms for an extension application (TM7, STM2) and looking for advice on which colour. Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Most commenters agree that you should use a blue pen for filling out immigration forms in Thailand. The consensus is that using blue ink helps to indicate that the documents are original and not photocopies. However, there are anecdotal experiences suggesting that some immigration offices may accept black ink, notably in Patong, which had mixed reactions to ink color. Overall, using a blue pen is strongly advised to avoid any issues during the application process.

Pattaya insisted on blue pen for my tourist extension last year. Two weeks ago in Patong, anything goes. They laughed at me when I brought my own blue pen and I told them about my previous experience. Blue or black pen in Patong is ok.

that is the USA, not Thailand. This is a Thailand visa advise page, unfortunately most people here wouldn’t care less if you used red ink in the USA, not meaning to be rude of course, this is about what you use in Thailand.

it might be in Thailand, but it is US territory and US rules, don’t get confused and think it is in Thailand.

Always blue. For some reason they think you are giving them a photocopy if everything is in black.
