Do I need to do a TM30 upon returning to Phuket and is it available online?

Three related questions: [1] Is it still necessary to do a TM30 on returning home to Phuket? [2] If I use my pink ID card to check into a hotel, does my stay there get transmitted to immigration? [3] Assuming TM30 is required, is it still possible to do it online? If yes, is it an app or a website? The old login doesn't work.

Many thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post contains three main questions regarding the TM30 process in Thailand, particularly in Phuket. Users are inquiring about the necessity of filing a TM30 upon returning home, the implications of using a pink ID card for hotel check-ins in terms of immigration notifications, and the availability of online filing for the TM30. Comment responses confirm that the TM30 must be completed when returning to Phuket and indicate that it can be done online via a website or app. It's advised to use incognito mode for online submission to avoid issues with browsers.

Absolutely you need to do a new TM30 when returning from a hotel stay or out of country. Some offices don’t require this but Phuket does.

You can do online but ensure your browser is set to “incognito” or “private browsing” mode otherwise the “auto translate” function of the normal mode just screws things up. The apps don’t have this issue.

Finally managed to login to my old account. Another question, if I may... I spend a lot of time travelling around Thailand in a campervan; none of the camping sites register us/me. So, there's a big gap between when I checked out of a hotel in Pattaya and returning home. Is that likely to cause a problem?

not going to cause an issue. Just re-register when you’re back. The 24 hours part is irrelevant really. It’s not checked. You could have stayed at a mates house last night and are re-registering upon 24 hours of your arrival back home v

Thank you Stuart. Succinct and informed.

You can use both, App or web. Up to you.

( The app will only show up at Google play store with a "Thai account" )

if the op never left Thailand 🇹🇭 no need to do or if at same address from travelling overseas still no need to do anything just do 90 fay report 90 days after entering Thailand simples. This tm30 is a load of crap
Stuart *********
@Peter ********
Wrong. It’s office dependent. In Phuket if you stayed in a hotel or recently returned from abroad the 90 day reporting will not work.

@Stuart ********
so you have to file a tm30 ? Jontien no problem 😊

@Peter ********
Yes you do. The systems are linked and if your last filing (like in a hotel) or arrival date doesn’t match it’s rejected.

I was registered at this website 4 years ago, but login no longer works. Now it crashes when you get to the end of registration process.

Have you changed address because if so you need to set up a new account based on your current address?

no change of address. Just can't access the old account with previous login details. and can't register a new account. Not to worry. It's still unclear whether this TM30 report is still necessary unless your main address has changed... it depends who is answering the question! Previously, it was every time you stayed (registered) at a different address, even for one night.
