Is AIS's VPN offering more reliable than using a personal VPN with my Gli router for connecting to UK servers?

Hi everyone, I have my Fiber with AIS and currently use a Gli router for my VPN, it's safe to say that using this to connect to UK servers is not ideal and is very slow and constantly disconnects me from my laptop. I noticed that AIS offer a VPN add on package ( I did not even know this was a thing with Internet providers) anyhow I'm wondering if it's the same sort of thing and if it will be more reliable, has anyone had any experience with this? It's around the same price as I pay for my VPN monthly so it makes sense to do the switch if it is.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is evaluating the reliability of AIS's VPN add-on package versus their current VPN setup through a Gli router, which is experiencing slow speeds and frequent disconnections while connecting to UK servers. Comments suggest that AIS's VPN is likely limited to local connections and may not offer customizable options for UK servers. Alternatives like Proton VPN, Cyber Ghost, and NordVPN are also mentioned, with varying levels of user satisfaction regarding speed and reliability.

With the current Cable damage that 3BB and AIS suffered secently (3BB not repaired yet)we are using Proton VPN to connect to the UK IPTV servers at the moment till the cable damage has been repaired. A free VPN that works well and is stable, worth a look.

I would assume an AIS VPN offering would just be to secure you from public wifi and the like and would connect you to servers in Thailand. It's probably just a software setting or certificate for your phone and not customizable to be able to connect you to the UK.

If you have a gl.inet router, see if you can find a VPN provider that offers wireguard. The speeds tend to be a little better than some of the other options.
