What travel router can provide a US IP address through a VPN?

If you have a permanent address in the US then you can setup compatible routers to VPN between each other, one at the permanent address and one you keep with you. This will make it look like you're always at your home with whatever device you connect to the router. This is what I do but I also have a VPN Service as a fallback in the event my router in the US ever loses internet service etc.

I use a router with custom firmware openwrt that I added WireGuard server to, and then a gl.inet router that already has a WireGuard client as the router in Thailand.

You looking for a router that can directly connect to a VPN service.

You still need to provide a VPN service with the desired ip address. I recommend using a service that you can get a dedicated IP address, you will have less issues. Private internet access would be my personal choice.

Gi. net and it's copies are pretty much the only ones that would be travel size, and the really small one doesn't support this feature. It's not an extremely common feature.

You can also use any router that can support open wrt (replacement firmware) as open wrt can support this. If you are more handy you could use raspberry pi for this also.
